Welcome to the Canadian Progress Club - Regina Centre. Our club was established in 1987 by several members of the Regina business community. The object of the club is to provide hands-on involvement in charitable activities, help create and maintain strong communities, make new friends and have some fun. The following year the club decided to provide financial support to Camp Circle O’Friends. This is a summer camp for children whose lives have been affected by cancer.
Since that time our club has grown and is involved with a number of organizations who provide benefits and services to children in need in Regina and surrounding area.
Currently our club has about 40 members. Our main fundraising events are an annual charity auction, comedy night, golf tournament, and the Plywood Cup challenge race.
Our members are dedicated to making our community better and we have fun doing it!
Poker Night Casino Regina offers charitable organizations the opportunity to sponsor a charity poker night. The club was responsible for selling the tickets with a portion of the ticket sales going to a designated charity. Our club sold 48 tickets to club members and guests on our first venture.
Our designated charity was the Wheelchair Basketball program at the Wascana Hospital gym.We raised over $2100 for the charity which will assist them to buy a child’s sports wheelchair. This will allow a new youngster who must rely on a wheelchair for their mobility to enjoy the pleasures of playing an organized sport once a week during the winter season.
